A protest march was organized by the Jubo Dal in Patuakhali. The program was held to protest the deterioration of the law and order situation and the killing of four people, including three Jubo Dal members.

The march started from Banani More area at around 5:30 pm on Tuesday (July 15) and ended at New Market area after circling the main road of the city. Later, a short discussion meeting was held there.

The rally was addressed by former Patuakhali District Jubo Dal Vice President Advocate Ruhul Amin Reza, Mohsin Reza, Imrul Manjur Elahi, Shahin, Golam Rabbani, Rafiq Khandaker, Obaidul Haque Bulbul, Mohammad Nurul Amin Liton Gazi, Municipal Jubo Dal Member Secretaries Jasim and Atiquzzaman.

The speakers strongly condemned the ugly comments made about BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman and called these incidents part of a political conspiracy.

They said, “A group is trying to politically weaken the BNP and its affiliated organizations through torture and murder of its leaders and activists.” The speakers demanded an immediate investigation into these killings, bringing the culprits to justice, and exemplary punishment.
